I hope your wife is doing well, sorry to hear about that. It is amazing though that you both could have such a positive outlook to get the most out of the time we have on this Earth while you can.

I hope that this is more of a gateway into an easier process in the future. As long as we can afford it, I think this gets us more used to allocating funds toward a third car, whether it be an S2000...

I'm the OP, and I didn't start this because I'm asking for permission. My wife and I have an understanding of how we like to use our money, and I would say that we are on the more conservative side...

Welcome:tipwink:

The S2000 is a great car. I daily drove mine years ago which I found to be difficult since I'm 6'3 and NJ winters can be tough, but if you aren't tall and you don't live in an...

I'd look at it from a financial investment standpoint, so it depends on how much you paid for the shell. If it is significantly less to go this route rather than buying an S2000 that's ready to go,...

I think this depends entirely on how you view the car. An S2000 has similarities to a Civic and a lot of differences, but the biggest difference to me is the rarity of the car. I must see 10 Civics...

I have thought of this, and that's the main reason why I have some hesitance about buying a car with close to 100,000 miles. This is just me doing research well before I'm actually looking to buy a...

This is my train of thought right now as well. I would love to buy an S with 30,000 miles or something on it but it isn't feasible with the market the way it is. I also really want an AP2. You...

Mine had HKS exhaust and Comptech intake. I think for my next S the first thing would be converting the exterior to AP2 (if I bought an AP1) but if not I'd probably just install an intake and be...

If the option is there, buy it with the hardtop and sell the hardtop. There's no way the price of the car with the hardtop is escalated enough to what you could get for that hardtop individually.

Thanks for the replies everyone. The last two were awesome.

I definitely wouldn't buy a car that's been neglected, or at least I'd try not to. I'm not looking to spend $10,000 or something, my...

I looked into this before. Some people say it doesn't affect that many of them but I'd probably get the work done ASAP just to not worry about it.

Do any of you regret buying an S2000 with high mileage?

I see so many posts on here with members claiming that the S2000 can do 250,000+ miles no problem. In my search for my second S2000 I've mainly been looking for one with less than 50,000 miles, but...

Agreed, there is something about the Miata that just does not make me want one.

I don't necessarily have BMW or Porsche envy, I am just looking at cars that compare to the S.

Any idea roughly the mileage that these cars were at when they needed these repairs? Are we talking brake jobs or internal engine issues?

Have any of you considered purchasing a Boxster or Cayman instead of your S?

As I still have a little while before I'll be purchasing a Sunday car, I am looking at all my options and trying to do as much research as possible. So for any of you who considered a Boxster/Cayman...

Pic Request: MY06-MY07 with OEM front lip/rear spoiler

Subject says it all. I'm asking for a MY06-MY07 because I've always liked those wheels. I want to see how this package looks in some different colors.

Thanks!

Yeah I would say around $14k. I'm in NJ which is not exactly cheap and I've seen lots going for less than $15k with less miles, but it wouldn't hurt to ask that.
