Yea, but you're kindof fishy.

You do have different IP's...but they point to the same city. Okay fine, we have a lot of users in the same city. Why have you previously lied about your location as Floroda? You've been asked about it before and you didn't have a clear answer. Don't use the different IP excuse, they are both in the same geographical location...ie not FL. You'll probably be spared, but we know for sure that Snowbebe and Nik are one in the same. Didn't mean to jump the gun, but Nik has pissed us off enough. I'll give you the benefit and assume you're not Nik, but I think it's arguable either way. Why is your location still FL when you clearly are not, and why were you defensive about it before?

Im fishy? ROFL. How am I fishy? Show me a thread or post where I've been "fishy"
Do I smell?

Ok, the same city? Nik and I are on two different nodes, same ISP, but he lives 3 minutes from me. So now that is settled....

I have never lied about my location, I used to live in Flordia, and I will be moving back soon hopefully.

You can chose to believe me or not, it doesn't bother me at the least.

..And lastly, where was I defensive? and about what? There was one time I was defensive because the little kid who bought Nik's old carbon fibre hood started running his mouth about me when, 1 - he doesn't know me, nor I know him other then the fact that I saw him once for about 20 minutes. and 2 - Ive never even spoke to or with him.

Care to continue this?

Then, I'd suggest calling Eibach and seeing what they have to say i.e. Ground controll may just want you to buy the coilover system OR see how much the perches are. If what you say is true, and they need the perches then Asura should refund the price or split the price of perches.
1st things first.... call the companies and get the names of the people you spoke to OR get emails and post the email. Asura can do the same. I assume he checked out whether or not the springs could be used without the perches. If he didn't, then his FS thread should have mentioned that.

I don't think you guys understand what this product is. Eibach makes their "Eibach Race Springs", and Ground Control produces a coilover system that uses ERSs. It doesn't matter what coilover system you are using, or what car it is. An ERS is an ERS, period. If he wanted it to fit the stock shock body, he should've asked before jumping the gun. It's not required for a private seller to refund anything if the consumer is at fault. If someone had bought a set of rims from you and then turned around and wanted a refund because they didn't fit or they rub or something like that, would you be held accountable? The answer is clearly no. This is the same case here. Asura does not want to give a refund, it is his choice, and his alone. We're making a big deal of this because Nik is in the wrong yet he's going around claiming that Asura is. Asura didn't bring this to the public forum, Nik did. Case closed, no? It's pretty cut 'n dry.

I'm surprised that Nik stayed quiet after my small case of frustration ;) Nik, it's clear you are not going to get a refund, please stop posting about it. I'm not going to ban you, but watch our step. I'll give you a chance (if another admin bans you though...well, tough luck). Don't post as snowbebe anymore. In fact, I'm going to ban Snowbebe and leave Nik. You made a mistake (a few actually), and you're stuck with it. As I used to often say to newbie privates straight outta basic training...

Suck it up and drive on.

Nik Sep 23, 2004 03:29 PM

i would like to get my 1,200 PMs from Snowbebe first, maybe you could tell me how because i can't figure it out. I just get error msg's.

I came to the conclusion that i would not get anything, i guess thats fine. The table plan sounds better than lowering my anyway.

Just one question. Lets say I sold those springs and then the buyer complained.
Would this community feel differently towards that transaction since my rep has been slandered by oatnet?

yogi Sep 23, 2004 03:32 PM

Probably, yea. That's the honest answer...your reputation follows you. You won't get bias from me though.

I understand the system, but Eibach makes stand alone springs for the car and from the posted material, it seemed as though one could use these springs without the rest of the coilover system. If Asura didn't mention this, then the product was misrepresented....plain and simple. As a seller, he has an obligation to fully inform the buyer...which wasn't the case.
Look, I don't Nik or Asura, but I've sold and bought a lot of stuff on this site and if someone pulled this "I won't tell unless I am asked" business on me, I would be pissed. It's a plain and simple case of Non-disclosure. He had vital information about the product and didn't tell the buyer. He assumed the buyer would know they wouldn't fit. That doesn't fit a "reasonable person" model, often used to settle disputes such as this. A reasonable person would assume that a product advertised as "race springs" would be like other springs sold on the site and would fit.

Okay, say I purchased just Eibach Racing Springs from Eibach or a distributor and then turned around and sold them, giving the same description that Asura did. Would I be misinforming potential buyers about my goods? I would think the answer is a big no. Springs are springs. Does Eibach even make springs that fit the stock shock body? If they do, what are they called? I bet they're not Eibach Race Springs with an ID of 2.5" :D

The buyer should know what he's looking for, it's not up to the seller to guess. The seller has to provide exact specifications and/or any damage information, that's it. I don't understand why you don't get it. If you were visiting England and wanted to buy a fancy toaster for your home (okay, silly example), don't you think it's on you to find out if it's 120 volt compatible? Or is the the retailers fault for not guessing that you want to use it in the US? I think it's yours.

I don't have time to look up the thread right now, I'll do it when I get home. I could be wrong though. You and Nik and Snowbebe make me confused. Anyway, Nik's sorta off the hook, so you've got nothing to worry about. It's not that I don't believe you, but you can probably understand where I'm coming from when both of you are coming from the same IP (at times) and Snowbebe/Nik is already walking a fine line, right? Your first reply and Nik's last post (12 minutes apart) come from the same IP, is he at your house right now? Slap him for me :D

Yeah, I do understand where you are coming from. Nik is over my house alot and is usually playing on my laptop while im on one of my desktops. So thats the reason for the same IP. Actually hes behind me on my laptop now. He brought the thread to my attention when my name was brought up, thats why I replied so quick.

But fair enough, glad things are cleared up now.

By the way, I'm Lace. Nice to meet ya.

Read, the edited post.

The quick answer, Eibach or any REPUTABLE vendor would have qualified the information i.e. diameter not for stock applications. Again, a reasonable person would have assumed that the springs would fit like the Tanabe, RM, Kg/mm et al.
