GENTEK1145 has already informed me that he is keeping the subwoolfer and my money. Further, UPS will inspect a package prior to you accepting it if you so request. I asked that that be done in this casee because I had previous questions about this member's veracity.

ALSO, VERY IMPORTANT! PayPal will not issue a refund for condition; only for whether the item has a tracking # that can be followed via the internet. Here is what PayPal told me relative to my complaint about GENTEK1145:

"As stated in our User Agreement, the claims process only applies to the shipment of goods. It does not apply to complaints about the attributes or quality of goods received. Therefore, we are unable to reverse this transaction or issue a refund."

The important point here is if you receive something different than described when you Send Money to pay for it on PayPal to an email account, you are totally out of luck with PayPal hearing your case. If the item is different from that purchased through eBay, PayPal will hear your complaint.

So the important thing to get out of this is that there are sellers on this site who do not do what they promise to do and the item is not as described and if you paid by PayPal, you are totally out of luck.

Regards to All

Yeah that is true with Paypal, but you can still ask for a charge back through your credit card company. I bought a radar detector through Craigslist and the detector I got was defective (it was spitting out "Service Required" messages all the time).

I called my credit card company and told them what happened and asked for a charge back request. I was able to get my money back in the end. It's still a pain and takes while, but my credit card company pulled through for me at the end.

That being said, help this guy out. I'm sure you can put yourself in his shoes, as most decent individuals can

I HATE people today!

Good luck dude

paypal by itself is useless. even if u win the case, if the other guy withdrew the funds from his paypal account already then paypal wont be able to get u any money back.

best thing to do is use a credit card in conjunction with paypal. gl in getting ur money back.

If they have a bank account registered once you win the case they will deduct it from that persons bank account. I know this because I got screwed shipping to someones unconfirmed address and they later tried to say I didnt send it to them even though I had signature required and everything, one of the loopholes of paypal for people to be able to rip you off.

if you denied shipping then you can file a complaint with paypal. they will most likely go on your favor. problem is if the seller's account dosent have money in it, you are screwed. paypal has decided on my favor in a few disputes which i was scammed for but could not retrieve money for me.

hope both of you could resolve something out soon

Paypal can suck a big one. I never buy anything anymore with out using a credit card through them. A guy never payed me for a set of F***ed sparcos I returned to him. Paypal gave me $150 because that was all they covered. Ridiculous. I hope you get your money back, there are always thieves trolling the net.
