I'm not very well this week so haven't done much,which I feel guilt ridden about but I did managed to whip the sump off because I buggered a thread when fitting a plug in a 1/8 npt hole.I ended up drilling and tapping for a m10 plug with a dowry seal.The sump had to come of to eliminate the chance of any swarf getting in there.

Other stuff,the ever helpfull Matty has done me a bit more engineering work so I can bypass the heat exchanger that has been removed and my turbo isn't water cooled.




I'm making a -6 hose up so that I can bypass the exchanger with aeroquip hose,keeping it away from the heat of the turbo and at the same time looking goooooooood.

Also to arrive is the Js Racing clutch slave cylinder which makes the clutch 30% lighter which is good for an old man like me,Matty also ordered this for me at the same time he got some parts.

Well the car starts up and runs, there doesn't appear to be anything untoward to worry about.I need I quick check to see if there are any leaks then ill run it upto temp.

The 02 seems to be ok but that will need checking when upto temp, then I'll drop the oil out change the filter and put some Mineral running in oil in it.ive taken a video on my phone, if I can work out how ill try to post it up.

I just need to tidy and check everything, put my airpump/tank in place for the Geartronics. Get it on a low loader and get it over to Gary's for a running in map and the paddle shifter fitting.Plus a Mot, then next spring ill put it back on the road, run it in then try putting some serious power down.If nothing breaks in the meantime.
