Weeeeelllll, the front bit is ready to take for mapping on Wednesday,I just need to fit the compressor and air tank in the boot and fit a handbrake cable.[attachment=69669:image.jpg]

It will be mapped for running in,mot'd and the Geartronics paddle shift fitting in exchange for wallet emptying pain

The paintwork sure gets knocked about when working in such confined spaces,no matter how carefully you are. That is going to have to get sorted at some point.[attachment=69670:image.jpg]

I'd like to get a duel pass radiator and a J's Racing front bumper before I put it back on the road in spring but ill have to see how finances are.

Also depending on how Matty's car accounts for itself with the boost wound up and also how mine performs with the boost wound up I might look at fitting a smaller turbo. With mine being a 2.2 with a ported head its a bit of an unknown quantity but fitting a smaller blower will make it more lively and nicer to use.Its still going to be over 600 hp so to a certain extent I can justify all the truck parts that are fitted.

What turbo do you have glen?it might be a cheaper option to just change your exhaust housing.im in the process of ordering a .58 exhaust housing(kings performance),Chris at efi-parts reckons at a push I will see 500hp but with spool time reduced a fair bit...I'm hoping it gets full boost around 4500rpm.
I nearly bought a garret gt3076 as fernando was taking ages to reply to my e-mails.

I'm looking at a gtx 30 or 35,Steve.not sure about you but I find 500+hp coming in with a bang at 5200 rpm a little bit unnerving.Mattys start boosting in the low 3k region and probably will run out of steam around 8 k ish.Im looking at having the Geartonics automatically change up at around 8 k for engine longevity, ill still have the option of changing gear when I want but it will have an auto up shift at 8k,obviosly it will rev out to the limiter in top but with my gearing that's around 200 mph.

It might turn out to be fine how it is but I want to keep an open mind about it.Im fed up with working on the car now as its been pretty much none stop for about 4 years,so ill see how it goes next year and decide then. The expense of another turbo isn't an issue really with what I've put into it upto now,I'd just like it to be right.

I'm beginning to think a genuine 500 hp in a S2000 is adequate I was going to go out hunting Veyrons and Zondas but I don't know if I can be bothered now.

My turbo is a precision ball bearing 6266.

Glen, your updates are always interesting read. I can't wait to see the dyno graphs after it's ran in and the boost wound up. You should try it on a strip or one mile run. Going to smaller turbo sounds reasonable because you can't rev the 2.2 engine as high as 2.0. Just exchange turbos with Matty .

Try spray on protection to project the paintjob from scratches. I'm using The Mask.

As you can see Ive washed my hands of it for the moment. Its with Gary now at APT having the bits described above done.

When I get it back it will be even more uncomfortable and difficult to use"Because race car",

I've only just realised what a gawky face the transporter has on it Im almost embarrassed to think I've spent all day driving it.....

I started out a 4am and got to Gary's shop before he opened at 9.I must be nuts.
