Hey guys, I'm just about to take my ASM hood up to my paint guy.
Everything new comes with hardware and instructions so things with the flares and bumper have been easy.

I've torn my room and garage apart 3 times now and I still can't find my Hood's hardware/instructions.

How is the vent fin mounted on your ASM hood? What's holding the fin on yours from the 4 mounting holes?

PS - Just for fun, should I color match the fin or paint it black?

To clarify, do you use a riv-nut style rivet to hold it in place?
That's what I'm hoping to use. I was scared about possibly cracking the FRP while installing the threaded side.

while the hood was propped low, i used a small screw driver and ratchet to tighten them. washers were used to minimize damage to the carbon.
i elected not to use riv-nuts because i wanted to keep the holes as small as possible. gl!

On exterior parts such as bumpers and fenders how do you confirm authenticity? Is there a difference in markings on the inside from old to new versions? Thanks

i believe the 07+ catalog have serial numbers on the inside to confirm authenticity. my fenders are from that time and have serials.
some of my parts are pre-serial numbers but are still authentic. i was able to compare with some locally and the fitment/finish/hardware match.

if anything i would ask aaron or tommy at go tuning if you are not sure. replica bumpers tend to have differences. one to look for is no clips for the wire mesh. gl!
