Surprising the harness was used with the stock seats and wrapped around the outside of the seat ( a big No No from what I have read).

 

Sometime between 1968 and 1972, I used my tool box as a jack stand to support the A-H 3000. The weight of the car crushed the upper tool tray by about 50%. Still usable, but not quite up to par for the budding sports car driver.

Over the years, paint chipped away and surface rust started to annoy me. Well, last night, for some unknown reason prompting me, I made crude repairs, spreading and then banging away at the crushed area. So now it is sort of straightened out. Then I got out a 20 year old can of machine grey paint and after wire brushing, painted it up.

Today I need to change my will to account for this now valuable heirloom having historical provenance.

To me it looks like they got rid of the rain repelling characteristic that the RS2 and and the RS3 were quite good at. The RS4 in comparison seems to be more suited for dry weather driving and for conditions that aren't torrential. What do you guys think?

 

and on the topic of tires, I always see this Nissan 370Z at work. Always at a distance. The place I work at has an expansive parking area and I usually see this corner parked or moving around at some distance.

Today the car was parked close to where I'd parked. As I walked past, I sized it up and it looked like the tire on the right rear had some deep tread. As I walked closer I could read the "BLIZZAK" on the sidewall. Looked to the fore of the car and it looked like another tire. As I passed it, I looked at the drivers side, and it had regular tires on it. So one snow tire on the right rear and the rest were all-seasons. That left me wondering as to what kind of handling characteristics the car would have with the way it was shod. Any thoughts?? Would it be fun going around corners with one rear tire having more grip than the other? Would the Limited Slip Diff have to work overtime?

 

Maybe his 2nd snowtire needed repair so he put the all season back on to get around.
