If the peace deal is real, we should see markets shoot up this week . Lets hope the roller coaster ride is almost over, if we could just see an end to the Russia-Ukraine conflict it could be even more positive.

I know couples often have disagreements about finances, but this guy needs to loosen up the purse strings. I might want to take my 1/2 and beat feet.

1 Million, but a Subway sandwich for a 40th wedding anniversary!

What a jerk. Rules are made to be broken. Every resource I read before I retired in 2001 said my withdrawal rate should be 4%; 5% the max. Well, it's been 25 years and never once was I close to that. Current is 6.6% and that's down from what I was taking out. I never had any debt when I retired, so that was a factor.

We tried to keep it at 4- 5% but that doesn't always work out. SS covers basics.....well, almost. It certainly doesn't cover that big bill I get for insurance in the spring, or extras. Cars cost money. Having a little fun, going on vacation costs money. Helping out grandkids and grown kids costs money..... They don't ask but we like to help out when we know there has been a big expense.

You ARE supposed to have fun and enjoy retirement, especially if you can afford to. The guy buying the Subway sandwich with a coupon for his 40th anniversary can afford to have a little fun! Maybe the story is fake?

The key to me with cars and snowmobiles and all that stuff is don’t keep track of how much you spend on them. As long as it doesn’t affect how you live just enjoy it. You always have a tough idea in your head of how much it costs anyways.

Futures trading is up, we may see +1-2% tomorrow, hopefully increasing from there.

I will be glad IF it is over. Now, people can celebrate the end of something that didn't need to happen, and we will leave it at that. We will be lucky to be where we were before this mess.

That's what I am hoping too, if we can return back to normal market pricing as it was before the mess started.

The headlines this morning were talking about a "deal of sorts" but the details are sketchy, I really wonder if there is a deal or not. Iran never admits to what is being reported in the headlines, and the other side isn't any more honest than the Iranians (trying to keep it respectful here - Not political) , you kind of feel that it can all go to crap at any time .

I will take any relief we can get though, I do so much driving for work it has cost me quite a bit already.
