The first one looked like a Safety21 (or Spoon, they're the same I believe) cage in earlier pics, but in the later pics with the custom fabricated covers, it looked like it was a Mugen roll bar. Maybe Diez can shed some light.
Yes, its Mugen. Its the "Street" rollcage. Mine has been modified for side protection though.

diez, what suspension are you using/plan to use? I know the front is widened but it seems like you'll have problems rubbing in the rear if you're driving it hard, no?
I have the Spoon Showa Spec coilovers at the moment 12K front/ 10K rear. I'll be trying out the full race-spec Spoon coilovers in the future (14K front/ 12K rear). I haven't driven the car yet, but I don't forsee rubbing in the back being a problem. You can't see it, but there is significant trimming at the rear fender and rear bumper so the wheel/tire doens't rub... The front, well....I kinda screwed up with the width and I think if it had another half an inch....don't know...will let you all know!!

You think the front fenders might not be wide enough for your setup? I hope it works out, it really looks fantastic. Would C-West fenders work with that setup?

I am just trying to gather as much information I can before I get my S2000. I am 19 and going to be a Sophmore at an Art Institute majoring in Animation. Once I graduate and get a very nice job. Purchasing an S2000 is on the top of my list. I plan on using it as my dream car on mountain roads around the world, and I want to make sure everything is perfect when the time comes.

I think by the time I am ready to get my S2000 I will know exactly every tiny detail that will go into tuning it.

thanks for your input. and good luck with the setup. sharing the knowledge is always appreciated.

That's great Good luck! Where are you studying animation? Hmmm, its hard to say if the C-West fenders would work, but I believe mine are about the same width as the C-West. Perhaps the J's.... Anyway, but that's for the future!! Good luck with everything!
