Everyone who got a ticket please post here so we can share strategy and info. For those who don't know about 7 of us got pulled over for doing 90. The single motorcycle chp says he was pacing the lead car. Thing is he did not pull over the Civic and the Audi running with us. He pulled over 6 S2000's and an RX-7. If he was pacing the lead car what does that have to do with me. I was 4 cars back. And why not stop the other cars (Civic and Audi). I am planning to fight this. Will the Audi and the Civic drivers please PM their info. I need to get some documentation. Hopefully we can use some of that tape you guys took.

 

i once got pulled over with another guy for racing...a state trooper had us with radar but he wrote the exact same speed (79.x in a 45) on both tickets...a judge lowered BOTH tickets because he said it was impossible to know which car was actually speeding...we ended up paying a small fine (93.50) and got no DMV points. The cop was present at both trials and he was PISSED! BTW...i had a lawyer present. Just a thought...

I was the lead car, and tried to collect as much info as possible when we got back to the shop. I have the names of the Audi and Civic drivers along with several others. Jmar has the video from the civic, and should hopefully post it soon. If anyone has a server we can host it off of, it would be much appreciated, otherwise ill have to see if i can use my counterstrike clan's ftp server so people can see it.

The reason he pulled us all over is because when we entered the freeway, 3 cars (2 yellows and a white?) sped off down the freeway. My dad in the passenger seat specifically said "Don't follow them. They're going way too fast." So, obviously someone saw them and radioded back to the moto-cop that several s2000's were speeding. Meanwhile, as reds2 said, we were sitting in the second lane going with traffic letting the people behind us catch up (because we were lost and didn't know where we were going.) So, all of a sudden, the moto-cop comes up in front of us w/ his lights flashing and starts swerving back and forth. I (having no experience with cops) don't know what he's doing. My dad said "Slow down, he's slowing down traffic." All of a sudden, he points back at us and points to the side. I then realize that I'm about to get ticketed..... So, I'm pulling over, with 6 cars behind me and the green civic hatchback (guys w/ video) and the audi think that they're supposed to pull over too, but the cop waves them on. Why? They were traveling with us the whole time... Now, fast forward to the ticket. The cop walks up to us, and immediately, my dad says "Officer, we weren't speeding." The cop replies "I had 3 units clock you at 90 miles per hour." My dad says "There were 3 cars that sped off ahead of us, they were speeding. We were not." I give over my license and registration, etc. etc... my dad then askes "Did you pace This Specific Car at 90 mph?" The cop says yes.... wtf??? He wasn't anywhere near us when we got on the freeway, so how could he have paced us at 90mph, let alone the actual speeders.... and to add to the BS he said we were speeding in the 2nd lane on a crowded freeway....

 

OUCH! That sucks you guys... Work together and fight this one. I wish you guys lots of luck!!

 

I was the RX7 that got ticketed. I'm not so much pissed off that the audi and the civic didn't get ticketed, but that we were singled out because our cars LOOK faster than theirs. WTF??

 

I got the warning at the gas station on grand ave. Cop said my car had modified exhaust and no plate.......I told the cop that my exhaust was factory. Idiots!
