could they be powdercoated a different color or would that just take away any sort of weight advantage?

They could be powder coated. But that would take away the classicness of these CPO35, you open any option mag. you will always see these wheel on NSX, Skylines or Evos.

I almost had them powdercoated gun-metal but opted for a new wheel. So yes, it can be done and I doubt it would increase the weight all that much...

I think they would look good, especially if you were to powdercoat them gun-metal...
