One other thing PJK3 didn't ask, but is a required answer we need: Are you driving the speakers directly from the HU, or are you going to use an amplifier? Assuming you meant you are driving the speakers directly from the HU, your options for components are much less, as most high end component systems require amplifiers to sound good. Make sure you listen to the speakers being driven directly from a HU similar to yours (wattage wise); otherwise, you will be disappointed when you get them installed.

PJK3, correct me if I'm wrong, but don't most of the Focal speakers require an amplifier? They are not the most efficient speakers around.

Which HU did you get? Is it one that is compatible with Lucid's/Modifry's Dash Control Interface (DCI)? You will want a DCI (either the Lucid/Modifry one or the DJ Cube one).

52W x 4? i'm sure that must be a max power rating... the rms wattage is probably more like 22Wrms x 4. still, that should be adequate to power the speakers i have suggested.

and i also have to highly recommend Lucid/Modifry's DCI if you bought a compatible head unit.

best speaker deal out there right now

CDT CL61a speakers from the zeb, $150, as good as the midline Focals.

mgiang7,
tell me more about the speakers. Could I power these with a good aftermarket head unit or would I need an amplifier?
