Recommended Tire Pressures
Factory recommended air pressures are a compromise between handling, fuel economy, uniform wear, and ride quality.
Your numbers are interesting, but could you please offer more depth of explanation as to why we should consider these over the Honda recs?

The chart I have, recommends air pressures for other sizes.

Arnel - so what is the significance of "load index" ? And should I interpret this chart as 17" rears get set to the designated pressures regardless of load rating?

The 17" rear sizes doesn't have different load indexes, only the ones that are listed on the chart do.
So on the mY04, if Honda does not recommend 31/33 psi, they are wrong?
I still do not get what the recommendations in your chart signify - highest load capacity or best handling? They are likely not equivalent.

arnelr21,
I think what Road Rage is asking is, Honda makes their tire pressure recommendations based on an average of handling, fuel economy, uniform wear, and ride quality to satisfy the general consumer when they drive off the lot and when they tootle around town.
The list you posted is on what end of the spectrum? Or is it based on the same thing as what Honda does to accomodate the common tootler?
Think of it as a slide scale:
<--|handling|----|economy|----|wear|-----|comfort|-->
Honda is here----------------^
Yours are here------?
Does that make sense?
