Default DFW S2000 owners, please read

This is my post from Street Encounter section but no one bite.

After reading all the threads about S2000 beating Vette, I just can't convince myself to believe it. So for all S2000 owner in the DFW area, please convince me by bringing your S2000, stock or slightly moded to race my friend 98 Vette convertible auto ( the slow one). Email me or response to this message if you want to play.

The only s2k that would be able to go head to head would have to be one with a Comptech SC. Don't know of one here in Dallas. I know there is one in Houston and maybe Austin.

They dyno at 292 hp at the wheel, est about 350 hp at the crank. But if stock s2k took a stock vette, then the diff was bad vette or bad vette driver. I have played with a few and on straight line vette is king, but run them autox and you would have a race on your hands.

A 98 Corvette Convertible's 0-60 and 1/4 mile numbers are almost identical to an S2000's.

both about 5.2, 13.8

Its just that its a lot easier to drive the Crovette than the S2000.

So Kumar75150, do you want to test it with me? We can do from rolling start. That will be a fair race if you can shift.

tpn,

There is a red supercharged in the DFW area, but I haven't seen him posting much lately.

I got beaten pretty soundly by a '00 Vette a few weeks ago (friend of mine), from a fast rolling start. I was back several car lengths before she lost the nerve to go past 120...

Not even going to bother trying against my other friend's Z06 now

The 2 that I have played with were 99 & 00. There is just to much torque in those puppies.........

Went to play with the 99 in a business park off Legacy and 121 and hanging tight corners with only short straight aways and it was a different show. The 90 degrees and 180 "U" just not quite the vette's forte.......but give em 1/8 mile straight run and he would be all over me and then some.

Now let me spend the $18 to $20K diff in price tags on her and see what happens

That's cool.....I sure would like to get a close look at their SC setup. If I could talk the wife into the $5K, there would be a silver one running around here too

The same for S2000's in Houston. And again, I have no ill-intension here. Just want to see how fast are these S2000.

Mine is also a slow A$$, bone-stock C5 with nothing else beside intake and exhaust.

Better hurry before my heads&cam package get put in
