Subs behind the seat!
I really want to put subwoofers in the cabin behind the seats. Has anyone done this? I was lookin' at the 6.5" JL subwoofers to do it with. I'm open to all ideas and or pictures anyone may have. Thanks alot!
yup -- cut metal if you want to do this...
take a few moments to pull off the rear panel behind the seat (it's quite easy to do)...
you will quickly see that there are no subs that will fit behind the seats.

A 6 with any sort of a basket probably wouldn't fit...there was some disussion a while back of a few 4" and 5" woofers that could fit given proper planning...
However, two in-cabin 5's (or even JL 6W0's) wouldn't have anywhere near the extension or SPL of a quality trunk-mounted 12...

Thanks deiger, but me and the crew are working on a custom setup using those 6wo's to fit in the cabin. They did it in a 911 porsche that was having the same space problems. I'll post pics when the project is done...Boom Boom baby!

Cool. I love seeing new stuff and look forward to pics
And don't worry. I'm sure some people would say kick panels or a 7-channel, all-active setup would be crazy too, but where there's a will, there's a way
