No, I think the widest you can get is 24 inches. If you went all the way to the top it would be patchwork and look silly.

I'll try to send you some pics of the line on the weekend.

The q's are why we're here.

OK, requests to see pics of this film have been made for years now and noone can take a pic to show it well. 3M film, when on a car is extremely hard to see.
For your viewing pleasure, I have taken a few pics of this film in a "laboratory" setting:
First, what the film looks like when it is "out of the box" - this is a pic of the paper backing side:

Now, of the side you would see when it is on the car - "the top side":

I've chosen to "wet" install it on a coffee mug with different colors on it and in different light for effect:

Rotating the mug to show more of the white part:

And one final shot from a bit further away:

Note that these shots were taken from about 6" to just over a foot. Any further out than that and you will not see the lines.

You did a better install job on your car than you did on that mug.

Dave, thanks a million for those pics.

You have one ugly mug

I got some info from the guys in the UK today, here's their diagram. I was hoping the bra would go higher than this, as stonechips i find go on the top of the bonnet and wing:

AquilaEagle, I have 3 different hood and fender kits that offer more coverage than that, and its the easiest install( the bumper is the hardest ) you could ask for. What you need is a good installer overthere, you don't have to buy your kit from them. You could order a hood kit with more coverage and have them install the Armour Fend bumper. I don't have a clue what shipping would be but if your interested send an email.

sparkie001, the post was not directed to any specific member, but to all the questions. I got one of the very first S 2000s, my vin was 0607. There were no "black vinyl" ones available yet so I hardly dorve it. Then I found this 3M product for the paint. It was not available in the Atlanta market, and it seemed, pretty much everywhere else. I sold my copy machine business and started doing paint protection film over 4 years ago.

It takes a lot to sell something that is nearly invisible. I had to sell my beloved S last fall to help pay for the website but I have customers tell me they got more for their trade in because of the film and I have had them say they will never buy another new car without it.
