'04 HU model?
I don't know if this is what you're looking for... but my '04 HU has, on the front in the right corner below the tune knob, the letters '4XJ2'. Also, the sticker on the top has the P/N listed as 39100-S2A-A701-02. Manufacturer is listed as Clarion Co Ltd. Hope that helps!
i seriously doubt you will be able to add a typical Clarion changer to the OEM decks. they generally use proprietary interfaces.
as best i can recall -- the OEM decks have been Sony, Alpine, and now Clarion. the OEM changer has worked with all of them, and allegedly is made by Pioneer.
if you want to add a changer, you'll either have to go the OEM route, or go w/ an outboard changer w/ either a RCA input adapter or an FM Modulator.

To avoid perpetuating misinformation I will separate what I know from what I have heard.
[fact]
The US S2K MY2000 and MY2001 head units are definitely Matsushita (Panasonic) and NOT Sony or Alpine. I don't know about MY 2002 and MY2003, but MY2004 is definitely Clarion.

[Rumor]
The OEM CD changers have been claimed to be both Alpine and Pioneer. I have read conflicting claims that the OEM changer is Alpine M-Bus with an adapter to the Honda HU pins, or else that the OEM changer can NEVER be compatible with any other HU. Both of these cannot be true because if the changer is M-Bus you would think it would work with any other M-bus-compatible HU, once you get the requisite connectors.
There is an adapter (Alpine KCA-130B) to connect an Ai-NET Alpine changer with dual bus compatibility to an an Ai-NET Alpine HU, but I have not seen the reverse (M-Bus changer to Ai-NET HU).

First two years' models are very similar Matsushitas with the only difference being the clock. Second two years appear to be identical Alpines. Fifth year is the sat-ready Clarion.
More info:

2001 39100-S2A-A01 TUNER ASSY., AUTO RADIO (20WX4) (MATSUSHITA) $717.40

CD changers are listed under every Model Year 2000-2003 as "CD Changer" and "CD Changer, 14-pin" but generically with no manufacturer. MY 2004 lists "CD CHANGER (8-DISC)" and also the satellite radio components as accessories, but with no manufacturer.

These, of course are the listed replacement parts and could be different from the original equipment that came with the car but when my MY2000 HU was replaced under warranty in 2002 they put the same crappy 39100-S2A-A00 in as a replacement.

i stand corrected... (i did say it was to the best of my recollection.
)
not Sony, Matsushita. thanks.
also -- interesting to note... Clarion aftermarket gear comes prepped for Sirus, whereas our OEM HU's are XM.
