Default Fuel injector choice

Hi All,

I'm after some experience from the forced induction guys really. My car runs perfect when driving and on boost but getting the injectors to stay stable at idle has been nigh on impossible. I have to let it idle around 13.8 for it to be smooth and steady and after a while particularly in traffic it begins to stink of petrol.

I currently have deatschwerks 800cc injectors which claim to have a minimum opening time of 1.2ms but in reality when they spray at anything below 1.7 they get very very lumpy and the idle is all over the place. I have to idle the engine at 1150rpm to ensure it has enough air to burn the fuel off so that it runs okay. I have messed about with battery offset in the AEM EMS but it makes no difference at all. They just wont spray properly at below 1.7ms. That is also at stock fuel pressure.

Can anyone recommend me some injectors of around 750-800cc that will work with shorter pulse lengths? It would be interesting to see what you guys can get in terms of AFR at idle and at what idle speed.

Thanks

I religiously used ID but last few builds including my own I've got to say I am very fond of southbay. I personally am running four 1000cc and four 1200cc on my engine.

Don't mean to thread jack but is it possible to daisy chain off the wiring of one injector and also power a second? Asking because my Infinity 6 will only control up to 6 injectors.

From what i recall, Tony at T1Race did this quite often with Hondata back in the day and with the old Motec gold boxes

Might as well go with the ID1050X.

Friends don't let friends use DeathWerks.

No E85 over here in the uk.

I might have to get a set of the ID injectors in the future. 800cc at the moment allows alot of headroom for my power so i could probably get away with 750cc. Do ID use the same injector just modify it to flow varying amounts or is the ID1000 the best one they do in their line of products?
