The lack of rubber is killing me. I know a stretched tire has stiffer sidewall characteristics...but damn 265 on a 10.5?

It's so I can switch off between 285/30 and 265/35. The tire I run (Maxxis RC1) do not come in 285/30 and 275/35 is too tall.

Some of the photos show 255/35/18 stretched on 10.5. That was at a Continental sponsored event where we were testing their new ExtremeContact Sport tire. Since it was pre-release, they had limited sizing and this was the only size that actually worked.
