First coilover set (Koni/GC) for staggered setup. Recommended spring rates for DD?
Planning on getting the Koni/GC setup from Ground Control site and I'm looking for recommendations for the front/rear spring rates on an '06 with a staggered 225/255 setup that's going to be mainly daily driven with 1-2 monthly track days. I've read some other threads about this set up so I know it's been beaten to death but it seems like the spring rate options that I read don't match the ones on the website. Any suggestions? Thank you!

^^ I'm thinking about the same realm.
Roughly 450 to 500 would be my guess. I would only lower it maybe 1/2", though.
Does GC have an off the shelf kit?

There is a lot of variables here, mostly what your driving style is. What tire are you running?
Konis are great but a little weak in the slow speed comp department. Some extra spring rate really helps this. I had no complaints for street/track driving my 500/500 setup. If I did it over again, I would considered 550 or even 600 square. The stiffer springs really don't impac ride quality and the konis have plenty of rebound to keep them under control.
I love my Ohlins now, but in comparison, my dialed in Koni/gc setup wasn't that far off the Ohlins.
this is a great setup for the price.

The effect of the motion ratios front vs rear is as you go up in spring rate, the bias goes more rearward (its the opposite for sways, as you make them stiffer, you go more front bias).
So 500/500 will be more rear biased than 400/400. So to maintain the same balance you had at 400/400, you would need to go stiffer in front if you increase spring rates.
How much stiffer? I have a spreadsheet I can send you to figure that out. It lets you see your current setup bias, and see effect of any proposed mods. You can compare these to the stock bias for all S model years. PM me your email address, and I'll send it.
