Sigh, up early for all the wrong reasons
Original plan, get up at 4:00am to bring #2 to airport for 7:10 flight.
Revised plan, up at 3:00am to bring #2 to airport and then go to hospital to pick up #1 who got mugged coming out of a bar at closing.
I guess 3 guys jumped him and really beat the crap out of him.
Keith is 6'1" and 185 with no fat. although sadly in this case, he's not the violent type.

Oh my gosh...that is terrible! Were these strangers? What did they want to beat him so badly?

Home again from Boston. He's not as bad as I envisioned from the phone call but he's still pretty beat up.
Fat lips, black eye, broken nose, twisted ankle, mild concussion, doesn't remember a bunch from it.
He remembers going into a 7-11 for help and waking up in the hospital ER.
I can't wait to see the hospital and ambulance bills.
File under petty annoyances, I also shattered my pinky toe stubbing it on the bed post in the middle of the night to answer the phone.
But my other son made it through security in plenty of time but that happens when you're three hours early.

Well that sucks! If he had three guys go after him I wonder if it would have been worse if he fought back. I know nothing about fights except that my brother got beat up like that in his early twenties by a mob of punk rockers or some such. My brother had long hair and the punks were setting off his truck alarm and saying, "Kill the hippie."

Patty, After they jumped him from behind, he did respond with force.
Said he sprained his ankle on the face of one of the kids with a roundhouse kick.
They did get his Pixel phone but he managed to keep his wallet.

My brother was attacked from behind, too, with bottles smashing into his face. They didn't want to take anything. They just hated him for having long hair. He was only at the place to move his friend's drums in his mini pickup when the band was done playing.
