RSG Roll Bar
I have an 06, I've decided to turn into a more track focused toy.
I bought a RSG roll bar with Harness Bar.
Interior Gutted and fitting bar but I have a few issues/questions?
1. Having cut into the car I noticed that the backing plate for the front doesn't quite fit flush on the account of the extra layer of sheet metel to the posterior... any concerns for this?
- I was wondering if running FAT washers that sit flushly might be better
2. My harness bar (the bar that spans the cars width and replaces the bulkhead where you attach seatbelts) doesn't quite fit.
- All the bolts but one of the most lateral bolts line up, its off by a few mm.
- I don't have the equipment to make the whole bigger, did any of you get this problem.
- I figured running the harness bar with one less bolt should'nt really affect the integrity of the bar, but figured i'd ask
- The harness bar is still held in by 9 bolts.

I'm thinking about.
Wondering if I should just expand the top cut where the second layer of sheet metel lies.
My concern with this is that even with a dremel, I run the risk of getting into the other "base" layer.
I'm also not sure if they are welded or bonded together.
Another solution could be adding a second layer of metal of equal thickness to the front portion to level the thickness out have 2 ply thikness across the board.

I had issue number 1 with my Ballade bar. Tightened everything as much as I could so that it all kinda conformed.

Installing mine now, this will be helpful!
Is there any concern with only a single bolt on the seatbelt extractor vs 2 on the OEM bulkhead? This was my only concern so far. That and the metal in the car is crazy thin, I would never go with a design that has a smaller mounting plate!

The smaller bolt on the seatbelt reel is for keeping belt alignment. The rollbar is going to destroy that anyway and prevent the belt from retracting correctly, so whatever.

Thanks for the feedback.
Bought Longer bolts for the Harness Bar, felt the OEMs were too short (the harness bar is has a much thicker base).
New problem now though. Both my seat belts are stuck.
When I pulled my seat belts I made sure they did not retract all the way in (I used a knot), and they haven't, but now both are NOT releasing.
They feed in but won't release the belt (give me more slack).
I've tried dissembling, and I can get the belt loose and get more slack, but when I reassemble the harness it will lock again.
The car has not been in a collision.
