Right? I watched that and felt ashamed that I have not done more for the greatest generation. The young man is a real inspiration.

Good story. Coming from a long line of immediate family that served in all our wars, I think we hold WWII in a special place over all others since then.

I saw it on the evening news. What a fine young man to seek out veterans of WWII, thank them and listen to their stories.We lose 400 WWII veterans a day and soon they all will be gone. My granddaughter is interested in WWII history and we have many engaging conversations as my family had 3 that served and I can tell her their story. My Dad served under Bull Halsey in the Pacific on a destroyer. He wrote a personal diary and she has read every page of it. She is 17.
