Default Vibration under acceleration still after new Shafts and new Diff Bearings

Hi,
I have a question regarding a vibration/clicking problem that I am trying to fix for the past 6 months in my S2000 without any luck.

Therefore I started from the replacment of the Honda main drive/prop shaft as I started noticing a bit of vibration at high speeds of 150kph and above aswell as clicking noise when moving off, so I have ordered a costum build U Joint Drive shaft, But this has not changed much.

Secondly the original c.v buckets have worn and There was significant vibrations under hard acceleration expectionally in 2nd gear when reaching 6000rpm (70kph) also driving above 100kph was very harsh and I was afraid it would destroy something else, clicking noise when moving off still present.
So I have ordered and replaced both shafts with new Insane 500hp shafts. The vibrations and cliking has changed a bit at this point, but where not gone completly only this time the vibrations started at about 130kph.

So at this point after eliminating the drive shaft problems the only thing that could be doing clicking noise and vibrations I thought was the Diff Bearings.
Ordered all new seals and all new diff bearing at my Honda dealer and also got a 4.625 final drive, I have sent the diff to gearbox specialist to set it up for me.
Diff has arrived and was filled up with fresh motul competition oil. but To my suprise The clicking noise is still largly evident and the vibrations are still there at 130kph (gps speed since the speedo is incorect after 4.625)

Ok New Main Prop shaft + New Drive shafts from Insane shafts + New Diff bearings and the problem is still there.
Yesterday I have installed my original prop shaft to check if the new U joint prop shaft may be out of balance. And what I found is something again different. This time the vibrations start also at 130/140kph under hard accelereation but when I change gear or lift off the vibrations dissapear ! The clicking noise is the same as it was.

At this Point I am so confused, that I want to ask you if you have any ideas.
And please note that its defenatly Not the wheel balance As I have checked it already to many times.

Thanks for any help.

The vibration is likely due to the solid shaft axles.

Sounds like all you needed was a bucket swap from the beginning.

Hi,
Yes That's what I have done also, bucket swap helped a bit for a while but it came back again, therefore I decided to to buy new axle shafts.
Plus what do you mean by "Solid Shaft Axles"?

Thanks.

Many aftermarket axles are solid. The OEM ones are tubes. When you put those solid axles on, vibration issues are common. Bottom line: spend the money and use OEM.

I was also wondering maybe it could be the transmission bearings? Any ideas?

Definitely not transmission bearings.

If your vibration is on acceleration only, and disappears the instant you release the throttle, then the axles are the problem.

Been through this with solid axles countless times.

Hi,
Thanks Billman, ok if the axles are the problem, what creates a clicking noise when I move off? or even sometimes when releasing the throttle in first gear it clicks,
Sometimes when the car is rolling and I press on the throttle it can click also.
Could it be the axle Nut not torqued down? Because I read that there is a new setting for the nut, which must be tightened 60* past the original torque spec.

Secondly I also noticed that the faster I go the less the vibrations become, I mean they get very bad from 120kph and start to ease of at about 150kph, to the point that on full throttle 5th gear 160/170kph they disappeared on me once.

Plus 1st and 2nd gear there is absolutely no Vibrations under hard acceleration.

And No I have not checked the pinion nut, Since the diff came back with with new Final Drive, I have a spare second diff with stock final drive but it is the same as the new one, I had it on the car when the other one was getting done.

Also, I don't leave my car on hand brake when Parked, I use piece of wood under the rear tires to prevent it from driving down, what I also noticed is when I push the car back and forward with the engine turned off, I can hear huge Click Cluck sound.

Thank for everything, More ideas welcome.

Yes, the clicking is due to the axle nut not being torqued correctly.

As far as the main issue, simply buy OEM axles (used or rebuilt) and save yourself the trouble. Billman and many of us have seen these issue over and over again.

Ok great, I will try to get the axle nut re torqued tomorrow and I will update you on the clicking noise,
As far as the shafts go, I just want to make sure Its differently those shafts as buying new cv buckets for my old OEM Honda shafts is quite costly, 650 euro with rubber boots left and right and If the vibrations will still be there I just wont know what to do than....

Wondering if I could get a refund from Insane shafts????? Send them back their junk ????
