For anyone wondering the SH-AWD is really something special. The handling is great.
OMG it is so good, embarrasses my Jeep and old 335xi. Rotates so well on dry pavement, just add some throttle. And goes where you point it in snow, 70mph in slush or a few inches of snow with confidence is a crazy thing.

It's a PTO instead of a transfer case (fwd based). My Mazdaspeed6 is similar and I can confirm it is better in the bad weather in terms of control.
