Default Spoon Zero Bump steer Question. Or Japanese translation

Hey Guys

I'm installing my front Spoon "Zero Bump Steer kit" but have run into a bit of a snag.

I've lifted the rack and slid the spacers into place but i cant get the drivers side bolt holes to line up. The rack needs to go father back ,towards the fire wall, but something mechanical is interfering. Its not the coolant hose above the rack.

Do I need to loosen the steering shaft assembly to allow for the rack being lifted? effectively shortening the steering shaft assembly?

This is what Spoon gives you, but I don't speak Japanese. Does anyone know if they mentions anything about the steering shaft?

Thanks in advance

I didn't experience this issue when I installed mine, then again I removed my whole rack for a fresh paint job. I would suggest loosening the linkage and slipping it upward, might give you some more wiggle room. Just be sure to mark everything.

Makes sense to loosen the upper steering uj,turn lock to lock and tighten after spacers fitted & bolted tight.

The instructions are useless. The big block just says something about how they are pleased to announce the spacer and much the spacer offsets the rack. The instructions below that are just basically install and get an alignment.

Are you doing this with the car on the floor?
Tips:
Your subframe could be slightly out of alignment - it happens. Hopefully it's not tweaked.
Disconnect your sway bar
Get a witness pen and mark the steering rack spline, you can loosen the spline - but make sure you can put it back aligned to the same mark
Get a round Phillips screwdriver that's slightly smaller than the steering rack to subframe bolt and insert through the steering rack/collars/subframe. Now you can gently rotate it around to get the items aligned to each other.
Don't forget to lock the spline back down

Thanks for all the replies gents.

loosening the steering knuckle allowed the rack to move into position with ease.

Back story: The car was on jack stands with the wheels off.

@chibo thanks for the rough translation

Translation. Nice!

I'm wondering if when it says 'remove' the steering joint, it really means 'loosen' it? Perhaps the Japanese character used could have that meaning?
