Bonnet welded shut
Not literally of course. Went to check oil and discovered that the bonnet release doesn't do a thing. Any easy/quick ways of sorting this please. On my civic I used to pull lever an wiggly bonnet till I was almost ready to give up and then something would catch allowing me to gain access.

I released mine by pushing a thin wooden spatula past the rubber seal and wiggling it a bit.
Almost impossible to get to it from below.
Make sure plenty of grease once you free it.

Push the bonnet down at the front in the middle whilst someone else pulls on the release.

Quick update. It's was too easy to open with a spatula thanks for the tip. Cleaned it off as best I could, greased it up and all working again.
