Default Someone stole my dash, trying to wire a new one up

I bought another dash and a set of new pigtails with a wiring diagram however multiple wires are the same colors. There are two each of:
Green/Red
Blue/Red
Black/Blue
Black/White
Blue/White

Is there a way to test these wires to identify their functions? I really don’t want to ruin this dash.

OK I think the only important ones I really need to figure out are the pink wires which are for the SRS and ABS lights - but seeing as someone also stole my seats and airbag, I'm having a hard time figuring out how to test these wires. I'm getting nothing from either of them with a multi-tester and no real idea how to figure out which one is which.

By dash do you mean the entire dashboard or just the gauge cluster?? I assume just the gauge cluster. What year is your s2k? I can try to help, they changed some of the wires around over the years.

This is what I've made out of the information in the 00-03 service manual (starting at page 22-45).

Many of these need tested using the continuity setting on a multi-meter. If there's continuity, the wire under test leads to the expected module and has been positively identified. It may not be necessary to test both wires if you are confident with the result of testing one.

I can't really give you any guarantee this info is correct, nor take responsibility if something gets shorted/blown up.

Wire color - Pin location on cluster, description - possible test.

Green/Red #1 - A7, Left turn signal indicator - Wire harness should produce +12v with left turn signal (pulsing with signal flash).
Green/Red #2 - D10, Brake warning light fluid level switch - Should have continuity between wire harness and ground when brake master cylinder float is at bottom.

Blue/Red #1 - A1, Seat belt reminder - Continuity between wire harness and ground when driver seat unbuckled, or between this wire and the same color wire under the drivers seat.
Blue/Red #2 - D6, ABS indicator circuit to modulator - I'd test for the seat belt light first, not testing for this unless necessary to avoid messing with the ABS system. If necessary, test continuity between the harness and the Blue/Red wire going to the under-hood ABS unit (pin 7).

Black/Blue (Blue/Black?) #1 - A11, - Trunk latch switch - Should have continuity between wire harness and ground when trunk is open
Black/Blue (Blue/Black?) #2 - C12, - Wiper Switch in - harness has +12v when wiper switch is in 'INT' position

Black/White #1 - B1, Door open signal to keyless entry - Test continuity between the harness and pin 14 (same color wire) on the keyless entry unit.

Black/White #2 - C6, Dimmer signal to heater control panel, I think the wire harness should have +5v when for this wire the car is 'ON' (pull up resistor in control panel itself) this is an odd little circuit.

Blue/White #1 - A5, DRL indicator light - harness should have continuity between this wire and pin 9 (same color wire) to the DRL control unit

Blue/White #2 - C3, Speed sensor - harness should have continuity between this wire and the middle pin of the VSS, this wire is also connected to pin A9 (same color wire) of the ECU.

I've gotta say, its pretty crazy how many different systems in this car are routed through the instrument cluster... Hopefully this info helps you out.

I just realized you said you got the above covered and asked for help with the SRS an immobilizer lights, derp. Ah well, it was fun to type up anyway.

Pink #1 - D15, ECM immobilizer light signal - This should have continuity between the wire harness and pin A12 on the ECU (same color wire)

Pink #2 - A4, SRS light signal - there should be ~+8v on this wire for around 6 seconds when the car is turned to 'ON'

This is great information, thank you so much. I can use some of the information from the first post too so it wasn’t a total waste and I’m sure other people will come across this in the future and need this information.
