ice hockey 2018-2019 season

The Red Wings had their first pre-season game last night. Showed us "new blood" and "new hope" Second "new hope" will be shown tonight. 
The past few years the team has not lived up to the Wheeled Wing logo but now that we are starting a rebuild year we get to find out if some of the new blood will live up to the exceptions of us fans. Certainly it was a sad day when team captain "Hank" Zetterberg announced at training camp his back injuries were forcing him to call it quits. "Z" has been one of the best captains and players for this team in recent years. One could only wish he had been surrounded by a team that contributed 1/2 as much.
At this early stage, no one is expecting the Wings to go far. We hope to surprise everyone.

Caps have a lot to live up to, obviously...TBD whether they do.
