Default "Stage 1" brake upgrade.

I'm looking for some advice on a smaller brake upgrade. I've started to get a lot of squeaking from what I assume is the original, OEM parts.

I found this kit from KamiSpeed: https://www.kamispeed.com/Kami-Speed...s2k-st1-bk.htm

Was wondering if the StopTech Power Slot Slotted rotors and the project mu pads were actually worth the money, or if I should just stick with replacing pads.

The plan is for forced induction in the next few months, so I'd like to get some more stopping power to accent the WHP increase.

Sticky tires & semi metallic pads are what you need for stopping on the street. The stock calipers and discs have enough clamping force to stop any street car. Buy some semi metallic stop tech pads & some re-71's or rivals & save your brake kit money

I just put some Max Performance Sumitomo HTRZ III's on the car, so I should be covered in the tire area.

I do a few autocrosses and dragon runs a year, so it wont be just on the street.

Brake pads and Centric base rotors would be my recommendation. When my car was first boosted, I ran Hawk Blue (great bite but caustic dust). with great result.

I would recommend at the very least, replace the ns400 pads with hc800 pads. Other than that, this brake combo is pretty good. There are other pads on the market too. I'm just very familiar with how the pmu hc800 pads work.

You could try the Powerstop Track Day pads as well. https://www.s2ki.com/forums/s2000-ra...-post-1178730/

I use as posted at teh dragon when I used to go...ATE Rotors, Akebono performance pads, SS brake lines and DOT 4 fluid... never have had brake fade or any other braking problems.

the pmu hc800 is a great pad, especially for their price point, but after acclimating to them I, personally, feel I could use more pad. They're great for a street/canyon car, but I'd say the CR is a better option, especially if you can find a set on sale.

Blank rotors. Centric are great for the price.

For just every now and then autox and maybe a few canyon carving sessions, Stop Tech pads should work just fine for you. Hawks will have a bit more bite (but they do dust a lot more). Honestly, based upon your usage, I would just go with the Stop Tech street pads if it were me.
