Hello everyone,
I have finally decided that the S2000 needs more power and pulled the trigger on a low mileage used kit. I am going to document my process in this thread along with keep track of what I need to buy yet. My engine has 156k miles on it (2003 AP1) so I am hoping it doesn't pop, if it does it just gives me a perfect excuse to have a built engine.
As far as preventative maintenance before the turbo build I am planning on replacing the head gasket (OEM) and doing ARP head studs to be safe.
My power goal is to be putting down 500 to the wheels running E85.
So far my collected parts:
Garret GTX3071R Gen I
Precision intercooler
Kings Performance V2 Turbo Manifold and downpipe
2.75 Charge pipes (hot and cold)
Tial BOV 50mm
Tial Wastegate 44mm
Vibrant Steel Braided Lines
Walbro 450
Need to buy:
Boost Gauge, Wideband, Boost controller.
EMS V2
Appropriate clutch kit (Possibly, previous owner replaced clutch but I am unsure with what)
Injectors, unsure of needed size.
Catch Can Setup
Fuel Pump wire upgrade kit
Koyo Radiator
Exhaust Cut Out
I am sure I am missing a few things, feel free to give me suggestions as this is my first time doing a turbo kit.

Step number one id reccomend is to test and document:
compression test(should be around 240psi)
leak down tests(around 95%)
crankshaft runout(less than .018")
This way you start off with a known good engine and avoid headaches in the future.

I did the compression test a month ago, I was around 185-190 across the board but I am in Colorado Springs so you have to account for 6,000ft elevation.
240psi x .8359 = 200 psi
Not perfect but it's not awful, I was also using a rented Autozone tester which I've heard can read pretty low.
Still needed to do a leak down test but the engine seems very healthy. I have driven ~1,500 miles and the oil has not dropped at all on the dipstick to my surprise.

You can go with larger injectors 1700cc to give you some more head room. You'll be close to max duty cycle on e85 at 500whp on 1300cc's. Also make sure theyre E85 compatible, most are nowadays but just make sure they're built with stainless internals. Good luck on the build and enjoy the journey.

There is a guy local to me selling 2200cc injectors with adapters, brand new for $200. I thought that might be over kill though...can it hurt to have too large of injectors?
Also after talking with Billman I have decided to leave the head gasket and studs alone for now and see how it is stock. Don't want to to cause more problems if everything is okay now.

What brand are the $200 injectors??? I'd seriously contemplate why that set is so cheap...and most likely stay as far away from them as possible. Stay with a brand that has been tested and true, like Injector Dynamic's. But its not to say other brands dont work. I've had pretty good success on Deatchwerks 1300cc and now Five-O Blackops 2200cc, both these sets on pump 91 and e85 without problems. Had a hard time dialing in the idle with the DW's though. ID's are expensive but seems to be worth the cost based on other's experiences on them.
As for the head gasket and studs, I would leave them if it were up to me. It is extra security if you get it done as long as it is installed properly. And I'd opt for oem honda headgasket if you decide to do so.

They are Bosch 2200's, less than 1000 miles on them, just been cleaned and flow tested by a reputable shop around here. The guy just sold his turbo'd s2k and returned it to stock before selling. He is in a local group of mine.

If my memory serves me right, make sure they're the EV14. I believe they are e85 compatible.
You don't need to. The new koyo hyper v core radiator is relatively inexpensive. I noticed my front mount intercooler blocks almost all of the airflow to the radiator i believe thats the cause of my coolant temps fluctuating in the 195-220 range.
