Oil Analysis
I figured I'd post my oil analysis for the last 3 years. This car did 4-5 autocross events each of the last 3 years. Other than that, just used as a daily driver in Wisconsin summers & stored for the winters. Engine is stock except for K&N intake.

Looks great, that is trending downwards nicely, the 2016 sample showed some higher wear levels , but seems to have hit a nice plateau now, I wouldn't change a thing. Viscosity numbers seem a bit low, that oil doesn't typically shear, but it isn't affecting wear. No fuel or water or coolant so all is good, bearing wear is nice and low. Intake is filtering well with low silicon which you need to monitory with K&N style filters. All is good.

A few people here are quite trusting to open an attachment online from a stranger who has 1 post on the forum
Nothing at all against the OP of course, I am just always interested in how easy it is get people to take unknown security risks online.
Would be interested in the data, but for the reasons above would recommend in the future posting an image of the data right in the post, or even just copy/pasting the content in. You may get more responses that way.

I totally agree. I spent about 10 minutes trying to figure out how to post a screenshot into the text body. Cntl + V didn't work. Right click > paste didn't work. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yeah some of the image posting stuff is a bit onerous to figure out on the various forums. Thanks for posting though!

"The "w" in motor oil stands for winter. The first number in the oil classification refers to a cold weather viscosity. The lower this number is, the less viscous your oil will be at low temperatures. For example, a 5W- motor oil will flow better at lower temperatures than a 15W- motor oil"
That's a good thing for cold starts (but probably unnecessary in places that don't get near freezing). The hot number (30) will be the same for a 5w-30 as a 10w-30.

It's good everywhere. 5W oil is still too thick at cold temperatures for required lubrication. Most engine wear occurs on startup due to (relatively) thick oil. But the engine warms up quickly. I'm running 5W-30 only because I can't find 0W-30.
