Default New Supra leaked photo

Not sure if this truly is the first leaked photo of the production car, but yeah, I love it. It really does look like a more modern MKIV Supra. If only they did the NSX with such a commitment to still looking like the old one...

Looks slightly less aggressive that the concept - Looks great.
The only unfortunate thing on this is probably going to be the price tag

Is it gonna be NSX-like pricing or GT-R like pricing?

Car and Driver estimates $40,000 USD for the base one. Toyota does have a problem with some of their sports car pricing like with the Lexus LC500... $90,000 USD which I think is expensive for a car that (according to some sources) gets beat around the track by a Civic Type R.

Personally, I think it will be more. Also, I'm not sure if I like it having a BMW engine.

The early prototype photos had it with a Karl Malden nose (for any of you old enough to remember Karl Malden, lol), and that looked horrible, it still seems to have a big nose but hard to tell from that vantage point. It looks really big to me, not sure I like the styling

$40k US would be a steal if it comes with a good portion of the goodies..

USD$40K? That's S2000 CR pricing lol. There's no way it's that cheap. A fully loaded Toyota 86 is USD$32k. Who wouldn't forego their morning latte for a year and just buy the Supra?

I see what you mean about the nose, Joey. We need more angles. It does look pointy, almost like the Merc SLR but not as sharp or pronounced.

Lets hope the pricing is good. I just saw a MKIV with 60k miles sell on BAT for $66,000 USD... lol.

Yeah the prototype I saw last year had a very rounded protruding nose which looked terrible from a side profile, must like my Italian nose, lol, I can't tell if it is the same design on this version , it may be more angular and pointy, the rounded look was not good.

the original final gen USDM/CANDM supra was not a cheap car at around $40,000 USD- and that was in the early/mid 90's. I'm guessing it will be at least a $50K vehicle. at $40K they will create a whole new niche.

It may look good but its stupid to even consider selling it to real enthusiasts without a manual/3pedal option. How about this- just like in the old days, the automatic was the optional transmission, how about allowing the manual shift to be the option- I"m willing to pay for a manual/3pedal in all circumstances- ALL circumstances.

The supra has exceeded my expectations in all the other ways- R+T had a good article on it.

That was one of the few instances where the automatic was faster than the manual tranny version, one of the few instances back in the day. A bit boring as an auto goes , but it was fast.

I don't know what it is, but I really like today's modern paddle shifted auto or dual clutch trannies I really don't miss the foot or hand action as long as the package works well. I must be getting lazy in my old age, but they still seem fun to me. Decent on a daily driver, but on the track a manual tranny is still a must.
