Default Brake Pedal Pulsing

My brake pedal developed a pulsating feel today. It appears to only happen when stopped at red lights. When I'm braking just to slow down and not to stop, I don't believe the pulsating feel is there. Any ideas what the problem could be?

You need to clarify, because what you wrote implies you feel pulsing while the car is stopped and you are sitting at a red light. Clearly that isn't what you meant. But its unclear what you did mean...

Sorry about the confusion, but that's actually what I mean't. I only feel pulsating from the brake pedal stopped and sitting at a red light.

sounds like your pedal is dropping when stopped, it can't really pulsate so I am assuming it is dropping under foot, check for any fluid leaks around the vehicle.

Dropping? Like the pedal is hitting the floor?

How many miles on the disc and rotors? Could have warped rotor.

He feels the pulsing when vehicle is stopped. Sitting. Parked.

Either his car is possessed, or its not really pulsing that he is feeling...

moving towards the floor in small increments. The only real pulsating that happens in the brake system is from the ABS motor, but you would hear it activating and I can't see it happening in a stopped position as it is designed to activate at speed.. This is definitely a first either way.

The check valve to your brake booster has likely gone bad

remove the hose and check the valve is functional.

Hmm maybe pulsing is the wrong word? I feel some sort of tapping every other second that seems to be coming from behind the brake pedal when stopped.
