Default Any tips for removing carpet/lining in boot?

I want to install a reversing camera - clipping it onto the rear licence plate if possible. This will involve running cables from front to back. I've never removed the boot carpet/lining before, and notice that there are plastic clips which hold most of the panels in place. Since I'm a leading expert at breaking this sort of thing, can anyone provide any tips on how to remove the lining without breaking the clips?

You're unlikely to get all of them out unbroken. Just buy new ones, they're really cheap.

Thanks for that. I was just thinking it through...a set of trim clip removers would cost something like £10...which would probably buy me a bag full of replacement clips? Maybe it would make more sense to try to prise them off with a kitchen fork, and buy a bag of replacement clips to replace the ones that I break??
Do I just grab them and pull??

On the ones with a separate centre, push the centre in and it should release.
The others should just pull out.
From my experience "should" doesn't always happen.
The new ones are only a few quid for a bag of ten, you're bound to lose or break at least one. Just get them bought!

If you are lucky, you won't find a rusty puddle underneath.

Do it in the summer - and learn to wiggle them out. You break far fewer that way.
