AP1 Build with Kraftwerks Kit
Hello,
I just thought I'd start a progress thread since it's becoming quite the project. I initially had the Kraftwerks v2 installed with the 38-91/ 90mm pulley on AEM V2 for about over a year and dyno'd at 460/300 on E85 and 432/275 on 91. I started to do some changes/upgrades a couple months ago with Rich @ VRF_Design (tuner and fabricator). He mainly works on MR2s but he was happy to take on this project. It was only supposed to be a new intake pipe, engine management, injectors and flex tune but it got a little crazy..

Upgrades;
- Rotrex C38-92
- Link EMU
- Increasing my piping size for the charge pipes (3" on hot side and 3.5" on cold side) using Titanium
- CSF Radiator with dual Spal 10" fans
- Oil catch can
- Race Port BOV
- New engine harness
- Custom intake manifold designed/made with a larger throttle body. **The intake manifold is just our prototype for now and we'll have any re-designs done, if necessary.**

WOW looking good mate! That throttle body looks HUGE! I have a 74mm Skunk 2 and yours easily looks like 80-85mm I hope the accelerator pedal is not to sensitive at low Rpms!
I'm guessing you're running a Walbro 450? Injector Dynamic ID1300's?
I would suggest you run a CAI from down from inside the front bar with the largest stainless steel filter you can fit on your intake pipe. Then cut the brake ducts as large as possible (without it looking stupid) so that air pressurises the filter intake location, this is what I am doing for my 500hp Turbo set up.

Yeah I have the Walbro 450 with Science of Speeds wire upgrade set up with their flex fuel sensor kit as well. Currently running 1350cc from fuel injector connection.
You have photos you can message me of your intake set up? I’m interested in how that set up looks.

I haven't actually fabricated my CAI for the turbo but I believe the headlight support will need to be slightly chopped or modified. I noticed the S2000 world time attack cars have this type of set up so it must make a difference.

Hopefully I'll get the chance to get some numbers with the 101mm vs the 80mm! If I do, I'll share that on this post.

Thank you! The intake manifold came out great and a lot better than I expected. Excited to see it powder coated in Gloss Black but I may leave the second one we're making in it's raw finish as it looks great as is.

Awesome! I don't know if you have been following our threads on the KW kit revisions? Did you upgrade all the hardware to ARP bolts and does your KW kit have the revised VTEC Bracket??

Thank you! Yeah, I upgraded the vtec solenoid bolts after reading about them from an older KW thread. I also did have the revised VTEC Bracket sent out to me so I have that on there as well.
