March Madness
I normally don't watch basketball, but I do like to watch some of the games during March Madness. Especially my faves like UNC and Duke. I see Louisville got upset. Right now li'l ole Gardner-Webb is beating #1 VA!! Still a lot of time left, but if they pull that off, it would be a biggie. I know Gene is an NC State fan. How bout the rest of y'all?

Mississippi State men lost a 5/12 upset to Liberty. So all my attention is now on the Women's NCAA tournament.
Two years ago we knocked off UCON in the semis and ended their 112 game winning streak. Then we lost to South Carolina in the championship game.
Last year we again made the final game of the tournament and lost on a buzzer-beater to Notre Dame.
This year we are again the one-seed in our bracket (Oregon). Maybe this year MSU gets its first ever national championship in a team sport. The Lady Bulldogs are off to a good start, beating 16 seed Southern University 103-46. But blow-outs are common in WBB during the first round when each 1 seed plays a 16 seed. UCON beat Townsand State 110-61. There is more parity today than during the two decades dominated first by Tennessee, then by UCON. But that parity only goes three or four seeds deep in the tournament. There is a big drop-off after that as Women's basketball is still maturing as a college sport.
See, when your school is really good at a women's sport, you become a big fan of that women's sport. And frankly, Women's college basketball is a much more pure version of the game than the guys play.

Don't worry, Dave. I could care less about cricket or lacrosse. I don't think that's a capital offense.

Pretty much every game today should be good.
