Getting ready for battle
Well, I have a $5M dispute to arbitrate next week. I’ve been working 12 hours a day, 7 days a week. This will probably be my last one. I’m working too much but Im glad it is happening. Confirming my decision to retire this year, while giving me one last fight to remember.

Good luck Bill. How long do you expect this to take? Will you be on your extended vacation after this?

I should be done by the end of next week, Lainey. I wish I could start the long vacation right after, but I’ll probably be back at work to catch up with other things until mid June, anyway.

Hang in there. Soon you will be able to fish every day for the rest of the summer............if Barbara says it's OK!

Hey Bill, good luck on your battle, but don't expect to slow down as much as you'd like. I left the firm I was with about 4 months ago and want to semi-retire. I set up an office in my basement and am working almost as hard as before. Of course my commute is much better than it was, and I don't have to get dressed up every morning, but I still work a lot of hours. I think it's in my DNA. It's probably in your DNA too.
Good luck with the negotiation and good luck with retirement.

So I assume if arbitration is successful, that counts as a win for you? Going out with a bang. I like it!

Have fun winning! I'm sure you'll have more.
