Good to know. I’m interested in these tires once my pss wear out. I like the pss but would like a stiffer sidewall.

I read about these a month or so back. They seem like great tires, but the fact they don't offer a 255/40/17 option will reduce their popularity on this platform. I can already see people (the form>function crowd) complaining about them looking like a normal tire instead of some "sic race tire."
They seem to have the potential for a great dual purpose tire. Higher TW should add a little more life over the other 200TW options, with possibly more street appeal such as better wet traction and lower road noise. I will be curious to hear some reviews.

These would probably work quite well for that desire.

That's definitely something I could see being a deal breaker for a lot of folks.

I'm using the 245 on my 17x9.5 rears and to be honest it seems a great pairing. I was honestly bummed about the sidewall/tread pattern aesthetic when I was ordering them, but in person I think they're a handsome tire.

Exactly, wish they do offer a size in 255/40/17. I still like to have a slightly meaty tire on the rear OEM wheels, for better looks (to me) and wheel protection.

By the way, just found out they do offer 255/40/17 in Japan... really hope they can bring this over to the US

If your pushing your car enough to feel a difference between a 245/255 then you should likely be running an re-71r anyways.

since i work for Bridgestone Americas, I'll mention that currently there is no "article number" or "part number" in our database for the 255/40R17. Usually one will be issued about 6 months or so before release if it's going to be added to the lineup so they can start making their ways into warehouses etc.

That's cool, if you see this size 255/40/17 for the S007A popping up in your system, please come back and update us.

I think they look just right.

But I'm old AF now.

Fukk, I never thought people lived this long.
