02 AP1 Sway bar questions
Hey guys I recently bought an 02 S a couple weeks ago. Currently it has Tein Flex Z coilovers and hankook rs4’s On ap2 wheels. Do you guys recommend getting a Sway bar? I’m still learning the car and it seems to get really squirrely in certain moments lol. It’s def a blast to drive, just want to see what the more experienced owners think.

...the car is squirrely because of the way you're driving it (no offense).
One step at a time is just learning to drive it properly.
The AP2 rear bar is beneficial in *some* tuning instances, depending on a lot of factors. Yes, its softer and yes it makes the car less prone to oversteer. But...that doesn't necessarily make it "less squirrely".
Has it been properly aligned?
What type of tires?
What track are you having issues at?
Under what conditions?

I’ll be honest, it’s kicking out in the rear because I’m forcing it to in hard turns lol. Just trying to see what I can do to make it less prone is I guess what I’m trying to accomplish. The S was properly aligned on a hunter machine. I’m running hankook ventus rs4. 225/45/17 Front 255/40/17 Rear. Ap2v1 wheels.
Conditions have all been street so far. I plan to go autocross very soon.

IIRC, stock bar is hollow, 28mm.
Thickness isn't as relevant as effective rate. A solid bar of (xx) diameter will react differently than a hollow one of the same.
Mounting positions also affect rate.
I would just keep the stock bar until you can make some sort of informed decision. But I'm boring than a MF.
An AP2 rear bar is a good place to start if you want less rotation without driving the car any differently.
