Default Intersted in an S2000 in the near future, but have not tried sitting in one, help!

As the title says, I am interested in possibly purchasing an S2000 in the near future. Only problem is I'm about 6'4" and 215lbs, and have a thing for small, sporty japanese cars.

Tried the ND2 miata (with the telescopic steering wheel), and while my legs were good to go, I wasn't able to close the top. Total bummer.

My next choice since I would prefer a newer-ish car would be an s2000. Love the high revs and digital dash. I have heard that people need to remove seat rails and change steering wheels to fit, but I don't care.

My question is, would anyone let me try to sit in theirs? I'm not dirty and I don't smell or anything.

I live on the Nassau/Queens border.

Thanks!

I have one that you can sit in, as a matter of fact it's for sale. 2007 S2000.
I'm about 5' 8" in the 210 range, I drive with the seat forward a little. The car is not built for comfort but it handles great.
I live in Glen Head, Nassau County.

You're able to lower the seat with aftermarket seat rails

The steering wheel you are speaking of is a "D" shape. Guardian Designs makes a very nice one from an OEM core priced around 6 bills.
At 6'4" and 250 you are pushing it. I'm 6'2"@190 and I'm barely squeezin 'in

I know what you mean about Miata. Test sat one once and would have needed to lower seat a good 4 inches just to be able to fit under roof.

I am at the upper limit of headroom in the S, but I do fit. I added the BYS seat lowering rails to drivers seat. I was shocked at how much just 3/4" lower has made. I can see the whole tach now!

Before the rails, I couldn't wear a baseball hat with top up, as the little button at the top would hit the softop bar. That is how little headroom I had to spare. I would look down at rearview mirror, and top of rolled up windows was eye level. I could only see traffic lights by looking over the top of windshield even several cars back from the line.

The BYS rails had changed all that. That tiny bit made such a difference.

I mention all this so that if you find you just barely fit, or don't quite fit but come close, you still have options. Worst case you can gain much more with aftermarket seat and mounting rails. Like a good several inches. Just have to budget for that.

In my case the only fit issue is height in the seat. I have no problems with legroom or interference with wheel. You might have more issues besides just seated height...

Sounds good, I'm a little south of that, but not too far. I used to work at the Benz dealership on Northern a few years back, so driving up there is no issue.

Now please excuse my newbishness, how do I private message you? This message board is a bit different from vwvortex like I'm used to

You won't be able to PM me until you are a member to the board for 2 weeks. Once your waiting period is up just click on my screen name and follow the selection to send PM.
I am going out of town until August 1, you should be able to pm me then. Maybe we can set something up for that weekend.
