Sloshing sound after a wash
i washed my garage queen earlier, which comes out rarely, c1500 miles a year, then dried it off and let it stand for a bit.
when i went to put it back in the garage i heard a slosh as i reversed. suspect the soft top drains and sure enough, a peek down the pass side its full of water. never had this before in 17 years but my car lives indoors.
i poked about a bit with a bike spoke from the top and boom, wet foot.
you can follow the line of the hood and see that its the housing below the brush, outside the ht locking mounts and if you have this issue you will see water. it just takes one leaf in my case. a small drain hole.
i rinsed both sides with a bit of fairy liquid then copious water, will jet wash tomorrow at a more sociable hour.
it would not take much to flood your arches from here and cause some of the rust we see on these cars.. that is proving a challenge to keep at bay for me
i'll add some pics to this shortly

Your sills will be full of water - that's the sloshing you hear. Take the bungs out and leave to dry for a few days.

I should think so but they peel out easily. Clean them up and put back.

thanks fellas
here is where the water goes, following that arrow.. you can see how the crud gets into the roof gulley and washes into the drain
you can push the plastic inboard to get access, tiny hole at the bottom which blocks (this is the same view as above but closer in, sorry the angle changed a bit - its the above rotated about 30 degrees with my finger bending the brush plastic in)
now any ideas on what this is? the rubber, below the bike spoke/inspection tool

Leave that bung out for a few days.
It's tricky to clean out down there where the water is meant to run out by the b pillar. I just made an attachment to my vacuum cleaner using this https://www.plumbers-mate-sales.co.u...037-4234-p.asp
That tube is flexible. It was a bit narrow for my vacuum but I just gaffer taped one end to seal it.
