Default Vintage Aches & Pains

Seems like these kind of posts are getting more frequent here as we age, so maybe we can have a thread dedicated to them.

I'll start:

I had aches in my knees most of my life, for some odd reason they have all gone away the last few years, I have no idea why or how and I am not taking any meds.

During the month of December 2024 I had the most excruciating sciatica back & leg pain ever experienced in my life. No idea how it started or what I did to make it go away, it lasted 5 weeks, and was horrible. Gone for now.

^^^Wonder if it could be temperature change or weather related pain? I get that sometimes. Some say a lot of back pain is caused by emotional issues/stress versus physical causes strain etc.

Yep. My left bicep hurts today. What the hell? I sleep wrong or what?

Oh, and I noticed my ankles are swollen. What the hell is that about? I might expect it on the right ankle because of my right knee problem. But my left leg is fine and it's starting to look my look like my dad's mom's. I used to look at her ankles when she'd come over and wonder what the hell was wrong with them.

Gotta laugh. If you can.

LOL, Gene.

We'll just say the large bottle of Advil gets opened frequently.

12-hour Aleve got me through the bad bout with sciatica pain, it was the only thing to get me through the day at that time, and it is a good anti-inflammatory for short term use.

I go to breakfast every Tuesday with 6 friends who are in their late 70’s. I’m 81. The number 1 topic we discuss are aches, pains and Dr. visits. Followed by little or no sex, then sports.
