I should have done this modification on day one after i bought the car. You feel the difference. The engine pulls harder below 6.000 RPM, and revs more freely and "angry" towards redline. Not much, but really noticebaly. Yeah, "Butt dyno", i know.
As a side note, i had the battery disconnected, because the car was sitting over winter. After the relocation of the IAT and reconnecting the battery I have done the Idle re-learn process. Maybe this contributes also to the the difference i feel.
I have bought the pre-fabricated cable extension at Amazon Japan and the lenght of 1 Meter was perfect. Quality is top, like OEM. The Plug plate was made with a drillpress and a Jigsaw, i used Silicone RTV gasket maker as seal.
Nice. I've heard non DBW cars will see good drivability improvement from doing this.
The ASM intake hose kit comes with the a relocation too if you want to do a similar thing for 20x the cost https://autobacs-asm.com/original200...O=ASM-AP100203
Thanks. I read both threads before, but i havent found any information about my case: Stock N/A Car - heat soak - relocation of the IAT Sensor in the airbox. Or did i miss something?
