My wife and I like to watch the Kentucky Derby, we don't know much about horse-racing but it is fun to watch. Seeing the winner come up from the back of the pack was amazing. A true example of the Tortoise and the Hare race tactic.

I have to say that some of the fashion worn by men and women was pretty wonky. I was sorry to see Great White get removed from the race when he got out of control and tipped over, the jockey was so upset , I felt sorry for him. Congrats to the female trainer. I still find it amazing that Bob Baffert is everywhere to be seen on race day despite his past cheating record, money talks I guess.

 

Of course we had to watch it at our household. Agree with all you said. I've been to the track a couple times. Wife finally made it with me in 2016. But there was no racing that day; she still enjoyed it.

 

Nice picture Dave. I've driven by the track a few times on my travels in that region but we never stopped to visit.

 

It was definitely exciting!
