Exclamation Starting problems after warm drive cycle (07’ s2000)

Hello everyone
im having issues with my Ap2 07’ s2000. On cold starts in the morning I receive no issues, the car drives fine across the whole rpm range. My only issues is after I have arrived to my destination the car has trouble/sometimes won’t start again. Everytime I pull my spark plugs out they are wet and fouled. Sometimes I have to start the car at WOT to cut power to the injectors so it will start, and even then this doesn’t always help. I had replaced the OEM injectors with this new set that are “OE” in the past so I decided maybe to put on the original injectors as the original reason they were replaced was trying to chase down a misfire. Even with the OEM injectors the problem still occurred. Currently the car sits with the injectors unplugged and spark plugs out of the car. Last night I pulled the fuel pump fuse as well and turned the motor over a 4 times for 5-10 second intervals and covered the spark plug tubes with paper towels and they were wet every single time. I have been letting it air out and dry with the hood open since last night. I verified the purge valve isn’t stuck open as I wasn’t able to blow air through it.

Any inputs or suggestions on what I should look at/replace will be greatly appreciated, should I be looking at something else on the car for my issue besides injectors possibly leaking somehow ? Thank you for everyone’s time

Yes sorry I failed to mention this is my second set of spark plugs. When I first put the new set in it fired up. But the next day or two I was back at square one. The coil packs aren’t old either they were replaced within the past 2-3 months

Have you done any modifications to the fuel delivery or air intake? ECU?

Thanks!

Edit: I changed my answer because I re-read your post and it's not making sense. Are you sure the stuff is fuel and not oil? I re-read your question and it says you changed the injectors, disconnected the fuel pump and the injectors before turning over the engine. Could very well be the valve stem seals letting oil get past the valves. Blow-by could just be making your oil smell like fuel.

Fuel delivery is all OEM, only intake “modification” is a skunk 2 air filter, other than that it is oem air box and intake hose

Thanks for the input SilentWrath. I have another buddy with similar hot Start/ warm drive issue on his 89’ civic and I believe his issue is main relay as well. I will look into that !

The oil does end up smelling like fuel. I noticed it on the first oil change on the car, and the second time yesterday when I did the oil change again after 1000 miles. I took the Valve cover off twice, Once for valve lash and once for valve cove gasket, and noticed sludge on the top of the valve cover. When I put the car back together (spark plugs and injectors) and the oil smells like fuel again after a drive, should I be looking into replacing valve seals?
Thank you for your input !

I do believe it is fuel that is getting on the spake plugs though based on viscosity
