Default 05 2000 GPW with dirt on side skirts. It only removed with vinegar and water.

Any suggestions on how to fix this permanently? Vinegar solution will remove it temporarily. What do I need to do to remove it permanently? It only happens only on lower skirt and front and rear quarter panel on both sides. Thanks!

We probably need photos to understand what you’re trying to describe.

Sure it isnt tar? have you been driving on a newly finished or refinished road? that can be harder to remove (Stoners makes a good product for it).

If it's tar, try Nu Finish.

Default Examples

Here are examples of what I keep having happen after a wash. It is not tar. Is there a product I should put on it to prevent this other than a standard wax? Thanks for suggestions!

Just checked my car as I thought that might be the factory coating applied to the lower body area but that starts after the under-curve at the very bottom.

You've apparently owned this car for over 20 years, but this has this magically occurred this spring? Change in venue or roads driven? Did you apply a tape stripe to this area and later remove it?

are you taking it through a car wash tunnel by chance? did you elect for the tire shine option on your package? this looks like the tire shine application brushes are actually rubbing up on your car because its a low sports car.

You nailed it! I broke my shoulder last year and couldn't wash my car until very recently. Thanks!

the tire shine product they use in tunnel washes is a heavy silicone based product. you'll need to find a heavy degreaser or another product that can remove or loosen the silicone. that stuff is thick and will require some physical agitation as well as chemical remover.
