Someone had to make this thread, so I'll be the one.
There isn't a single thing about this vehicle that makes it stand out from any other performance EV, be it a Taycan or whatever top line Chinese EV is out these days. Weight, power, range, sound, looks, nothing. In my opinion this car could have a Honda badge on the front and nobody would think anything of it. All this can be yours for the low low price of $640,000. Ferrari's stock dropped 5% as a result of this debut. I think this is a worse fumble than AMG's new EV. While that one has nothing notable from a hardware/performance standpoint, at least it looks distinct. What does this group think?
Stepping aside the Luce itself for a moment, I think Ferrari has never had so much buzz and conversation around itself
I have to believe some of the shocked folks will be running out to get whatever current and past models with ICE under the hood or hatch and bidding up prices
Hilariously bad exterior design. I think the interior has some neat features but at the same time, it looks like a smartphone or smartwatch that's been integrated into the car. You can really see the Apple designer's hand in the interior. The exterior is horrible. Who in the world thought that was how a Ferrari of ANY kind should look? It's not just bland; it's ugly. There is no Ferrari beauty or swoopiness.
To be fair, looking at the new F80 from Ferrari, I think their designers are losing their touch. Their newer cars are slab-sided and they lack the curves and swoopy beauty that a Ferrari generally has. They've gone so hard after aerodynamics that the cars look more business-like and less beautiful.
If it didn't have the prancing horse, I think it's kind of industrial "okay" looking. But, being a Ferrari, it's such a shock to the brain with the EV aspect and the styling.
Doesn't matter as I'd NEVER be in the market for one anyway. As Tommy said above, very limited desire for Ferrari since they went dual-clutch only, plus the turbo engines just don't sound like the old 308, 348, 355, 458 with that high rpm NA V8 beautiful sound.
