My clutch engagement point might be too high
I recently swapped out my 2008 Civic Si for a 2001 S2000 and I noticed the clutch engagement point is a lot higher than how it was in my Si. I checked the clutch pedal/cmc freeplay and its within spec. I also gravity bled the clutch system, I am quite certain there is no air trapped in the system.
Would it be advisable to increase my clutch pedal/cmc freeplay to achieve the desired lower engagment point?
Of course not so much freeplay that the clutch isnt fully disengaging between shifts.
I drove my friend's 2003 corolla and newer tacoma before and noticed both had a really high clutch engagements point too, which I personally don't really like. It makes it more difficult to accurately predict where the engagement point is. Does anyone else feel this way about high engagment points or is this just a skill issue?
