Default Battery recommendations?

So, after being stranded at the gas station due to my weakening battery, I've decided its time to get a new one.

Any recommendations? Car in question is a S2000. Lightweight is nice, but please keep in mind the car is also daily driven. Willing to spend money if the product is proven, but nothing crazy please! This is just an excuse to upgrade

I left the radio on while I was filling up, and it drained the battery just enough that I couldn't start. Shouldn't have gotten the AC/Radio option from the factory huh?

I just replaced mine. A mechanic friend got me a Yellow Top at Napa for about $140 and it came with a 5 yr warranty. I could not find a Red Top that would fit.

*edit*

Did a quick check. Battery is pro-rated for 100 months, per the following schedule:

• Months 0 to 36:100%
• Months 37 to 45: 60%
• Months 46 to 55: 50%
• Months 56 to 65: 40%
• Months 66 to 75: 30%
• Months 76 to 85: 20%
• Months 86 to 95: 10%
• Months 96 to100: 5

Maybe I'll just go to the dealer since I'm in the 37-45 month category...

i have an odyssey pc680 for about a year now and its held up fine for me. i dont daily my car so i have it plugged in at night to a battery tender. if you're worried about the battery losing juice, you could always just get a battery tender - i picked one up from amazon for about $30

Odyssey PC680 is just fine for daily driving as long as you don't let the car sit for more than 2 weeks. A battery tender is also a good thing to have.

I'm using a Deka ETX14 Powersports battery. 11 lbs I think. And something like $70. I don't daily drive so I tender it. No problems, but I've only had it for 5 months or so.

I second the Odyssey PC680. If you daily drive, it won't die. Most run into issues when they leave their car sitting for a few weeks.

One more PC680 user here, besides the reliability and weight savings, I happen to have a great dealer in town. I've never had an issue using Odysseys on several of my cars the past nine years but the dealer has a great back stock, is very knowledgable and absolutely customer driven. That's worth the extra money over a Walmart battery to me.

If your willing to plug it in most nights Kronospark just released a 2.5lbs battery and it has a charger inside but it's primarily aimed at race cars.
